ERDC has the authority to grant licenses pursuant to 35 USC §§207-209. ERDC follows the regulations set forth in 37 CFR §404. All ERDC licenses are individually negotiated including duration, royalties, and reporting. 

The license award process requires the licensee to provide an application. Once accepted by ERDC, the finalized application is included in the license agreement.  All information submitted in this license application will be maintained in confidence by ERDC and will not be subject to disclosure under the Freedom of Information Act.
